Hive Streaming

Hive Streaming is a solution for large scale distribution of streaming video; live and on-demand. The product, which is based on Peerialism’s R&D and patent pending distribution algorithms, enables customers to offload up to 95% of the traffic from their streaming servers and core parts of the network.

Hive Streaming is entirely software based, acting as a transparent network chache between video streaming servers and players, unnoticed to content owners and end users. It uses standard protocols and has support for all the major multi-bitrate HTTP-based streaming formats: Smoth Streaming, HDS and HLS.

Hive Streaming re-uses the existing infrastructure by turning every viewer’s device into a distribution node, forming a software CDN. It normally requires no configuration and is ideal for fast and easy self-deployment and even large enterprises can Hive enable their networks in hours.
